Ginny Wilkins (SHARP Field Trainer):

Hi, I'm Ginny with Sharp. What I'm going to show you today is how to change staples on our various finishers. This particular one is our inner finisher. It comes preloaded with 5000 staples. Once you're out of those staples, the cartridge actually turns to let you know now you need to change it as well as telling you on the screen.

Ginny Wilkins stands in front of an MFP. On the front center of the MFP.

I'm just gonna open this door and it has a little green, green means you can touch, and you just pull out the staple cartridge. Do not throw this whole thing away. This clear house will be empty and you are going to a little bit of tug, pop this off, don't be afraid. And you pop that off. You then will get a preloaded 5000 and it goes right on the base. Once it's on the base, you're going to slide it in. You'll hear, click.

She uses a groove to open up a small compartment and take out the green staple cartridge. She uses a pinching motion to grab the clear rectangle on the staple cartridge and acts out pulling it off. She then motions putting a preloaded 5000 back onto where the clear rectangle was. She then places the staple cartridge back into the compartment and clicks it in by pressing on the green plastic part.

There also is some instructions right on the door itself and then just close it and actually then resets it and puts it back. So it is then ready for the next person to staple.

The camera zooms into the inner side of the compartment door where there are instructions written. She closes the compartment door.

This is our one K stacking saddle stitch finisher. In order to change those staples. You're going to open the door, pull on the green handle.

On the left side of the printer, she uses the groove to pop open the large vertical door. She pulls on a green handle which pulls out the inner part of the printer.

There's a green tab right here. You're gonna pull it up, make sure you hold on to it where it says push and push, you're gonna push it, pops this top up, allowing to get that cardboard out.

She reaches her hand underneath and pulls a green tab upward to remove it. She holds the piece so that the green tab is sticking up and then motions to the base to push. She indicates that the plastic base would pop up, upward towards the green tab. On the bottom side of the clear box next to the bottom of the tab, she motions for the cardboard to come out.

With your new one. It's going to have that cardboard with 5000 preloaded with a tab that's holding it all together with that tab. You're going to see that there's an arrow, you're going to line the cartridge up, you're going to push down. So it's completely locked because the very last thing you do is pull that tab to release those staples.

She motions pulling up the clear box, sticking in the cartridge and the pressing it back down. There is an arrow on the inner side of the clear box to align the cartridge.
